Welcome to my site!
I hope you find something yummy here.
I have gone through some major "renovations" in my life over the past several months. After spending over 20 years as a full-time, stay-at-home wife and mom, my son has graduated from high school, has gone off to college, and he gotten married!
Working a full-time, out-of-the-house job leaves me with less time in the kitchen, but not less interest in things culinary!
I love to cook, and I would enjoy the privilege of helping you find the recipes you need. Whether it is something for a specific health need, or just something yummy, please check with me. Just keep in mind that it may take me a little while to get a response back to you!
Blessings to you all!

12/29: Our 20-year-old son, Sam, was diagnosed with leukemia on Nov. 30 and spent 27 days in the hospital. He was released on Dec. 23rd, and we were very thankful to have him home for Christmas. He will be continuing to undergo treatment for the next several months. We appreciate the prayers, concern and support of so many. Thank you!! 1/8: Sam continues to make progress. He and Cassie are living with us. Sam continues to get out-patient treatment. He struggles with headaches and tiredness, but God has been gracious and he has tolerated all his treatments quite well. Thank you for your continued prayer support on his behalf.
1/23: Sam is back in the hospital. He started running a fever and the headaches got a bit worse. Along with that he has had several episodes of vomiting. They are running many tests, but so far all have returned negative. Please pray that God will heal and the drs. will have wisdom. We are praising God for His continued work in our behalf.
1/29: Sam got out of the hospital earlier this week. He seems to be feeling pretty well at this point and the headaches have eased up. They never determined anything specific that caused his difficulties last week, but seems to be related to the chemo. Still has another heavy round coming in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for praying.
2/7: Sam is doing pretty well. He had day 1 of 8 days of chemo over this week and next. He is having some pain in his feet from one of the drugs they are giving him. Hoping that it subsides in a day or so. Please pray that he will be able to tolerate this last large round. After this, he will taper off to about one treatment per month, as far as we understand at this time. Praise the Lord!
2/27: Sam has gotten through the heaviest of the chemo. His feet are feeling some better and he is starting to gain his strength back. He and Cassie have rented a new apartment and moved back to Huntington. He is scheduled to start back to work on Tuesday. He still has about 2 1/2 years of treatments, but it should be a little less intense for now. Sam and Cassie are beginning to look toward the future, hoping to get back to a somewhat normal life again. Thank you for continuing to pray for Sam. One of his greatest challenges right now is finishing his incomplete college work from last semester. We praise God for His grace and mercy, and trust Him for the strength to continue on!!
4/5: Sam has transitioned to maintenance therapy. He hasn't had any in the past couple of weeks, but he will be having chemo periodically. He has gone back to work and is keeping a pretty regular schedule. He is working on getting his incompletes finished so he can register for the fall. Still a long road to travel as there are still about 2 1/2 years to go. Thanks for praying.
9/7: It has been a long time since our last post. Despite what we thought, Sam had not finished his treatment protocol, and continued to get chemo through the summer months. The heat was difficult for him although he tried to keep up with things as best he could. The past two months were particularly difficult. He has now lost all his hair and he spent another week in the hospital recently. We are told that he has one more chemo next week and he will be in maintenance. Looks like about once a month for a while, then it will stretch a bit longer between treatments. He is not going to school at all right now so he is seeking the Lord about what he needs to be busy at for this time in his life. Tomorrow is Sam's 21st birthday and we are so thankful for God's goodness and faithfulness these past 9 months. There is still much ahead, so we continue to be thankful for those who hold Sam, Cassie and all of us up in your prayers.
10/28: Sam is finally in the maintenance stage of his treatment! He is only receiving a chemo infusion once a month now and takes pills at home. He is getting his hair back and also his energy and stamina. He is working almost full time hours now, and he says he is feeling really good. He is beginning to talk about going back to school; one class in the spring semester and then more in the fall. We are so very thankful for God's goodness and grace. Sam still needs our prayers as he gets back on track. Thank you!!!
